Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has increasingly influenced the academic writing and research process by providing tools that assist in language editing, text summarization, and information processing. While these technologies may support certain technical aspects of manuscript preparation, their use must remain aligned with the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and scientific responsibility. Therefore, this journal establishes the following policy regarding the use of AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of scholarly manuscripts.
Authors are permitted to use AI-based tools for limited purposes, such as improving grammar, language clarity, formatting, or assisting in preliminary text organization. However, the intellectual content of the manuscript—including the formulation of research problems, theoretical framework development, research design, data analysis, interpretation of findings, and scholarly argumentation—must be the result of the authors’ own intellectual work. AI tools must not replace the critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and scholarly judgment required in scientific research.
Any use of AI tools in the preparation of a manuscript must be disclosed transparently by the authors in an appropriate section of the article, such as the methodology, acknowledgements, or a dedicated disclosure statement. This disclosure ensures transparency in the research and writing process and allows editors and readers to understand the role of AI in supporting the preparation of the manuscript.
AI systems or tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Authorship is strictly limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception of the research, the design and implementation of the study, the analysis and interpretation of data, and the writing of the manuscript. Consequently, all responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the published work remains fully with the authors.
Furthermore, the use of AI technologies to fabricate research data, manipulate analytical results, generate unverifiable references, or produce misleading academic content is strictly prohibited. If the editorial board identifies evidence of inappropriate or unethical use of AI that compromises the integrity of the manuscript, the journal reserves the right to reject the submission or retract the article after publication.
Through this policy, the journal encourages the responsible and ethical use of AI technologies as supportive tools in scholarly communication while upholding the principles of scientific integrity, academic honesty, and intellectual accountability.
